Sonia Asher

Sonia Asher is the Founder and Director of a payments start up Paramotor Digital Technology Private limited, a DIPP Certified Fintech Company registered under The Startup India program of Government of India. Paramotor was set up in November 2016 with aim to digitize the underserved locations of India since then it has significantly contributed to the Digital India initiative by providing payment solutions such as POS terminals, Mini ATM, Bharat QR & UPI across rural India. Sonia Asher was the winner of Women in Fintech Demo Day award at the Paisabazar Fintergrate Zone 2019 She is a dynamic, successful and proven payment specialist with 2 decades of experience in the payment acceptance business. Before embarking on her entrepreneur journey she was Vice President with Global Payments Asia Pacific a Nasdaq listed payments company where she was consistently rewarded and recognised with the highest honour for her exemplary contribution to the organisation, she has also served multinational Banks such as HSBC in the Merchant Acquiring Division and Standard Chartered Bank in the consumer banking division. She graduated from the Mumbai University and has successfully completed Accelerated Leadership Program from the Hongkong University.
